Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. in Tampa, FL is seeking a detail‑oriented accounting professional to support project accounting, billing, and financial monitoring across diverse client engagements.

You will maintain GAAP compliance, prepare invoices, manage AR, assist with vendor invoices, and collaborate with project managers and operations leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting required, or 3–5 years related experience.
• AEC industry experience preferred.
• Attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Basic understanding of accounting and finance.
• Ability to work within a cross-functional service and client environment.
• Experience using spreadsheets for invoices and project tracking.
• Microsoft Dynamics experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with GAAP/FAR rules as related to billing.

Responsibilities

• Project accounting, including Microsoft Dynamics project setup, monthly billing, AR, and billing file management.
• Assist with client monthly reporting and financial monitoring.
• Interface with project managers, analysts, clients, and vendors.
• Support the Operations Manager and Regional Practice Leader.
• Contribute to other projects as assigned.

Duties, Responsibilities & Other

• For internal applicants, continued employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check.
• Project accounting, including Microsoft Dynamics project setup, monthly billing and AR processes, contract and billing file setup and archiving, and assistance with financial monitoring and vendor invoice processing.
• Comply with ISO requirements.
• Assist with client monthly reporting.
• Interface with project managers, analysts, clients, and vendors.
• Provide support to the Operations Manager, Regional Practice Leader, and Project Managers.
• Other projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting required, or Associate’s Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting plus 3–5 years of related experience.
• Preferred experience with an AEC industry firm (Architecture, Engineering or Construction).
• Attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Basic understanding of accounting and finance.
• Ability to contribute within a team that includes a variety of services, clients, and personalities.
• Experience developing and using spreadsheets to prepare invoices and project tracking.
• Microsoft Dynamics experience is a plus.
• Must understand financial concepts, and understand and adhere to GAAP/FAR rules and regulations as related to KCI billing.
