Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. in Newark, Delaware, is seeking a Project Accountant to join our employee-owned engineering firm.

You will manage project accounting, including Dynamics project setup, monthly billing, accounts receivable, and contract documentation while supporting financial monitoring. The role requires a BA/BS in Business, Finance, or Accounting (or an Associate’s with 3–5 years’ related experience), strong spreadsheet skills, GAAP/FAR knowledge, and teamwork with project managers and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting required, or Associate’s Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting plus 3–5 years of related experience.
• Preferred experience with an AEC industry firm (Architecture, Engineering or Construction).
• Attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Basic understanding of accounting and finance.
• Ability to contribute within a team that includes a variety of services, clients, and personalities.
• Experience developing and using spreadsheets to prepare invoices and project tracking.
• Microsoft Dynamics experience is a plus.
• Must understand financial concepts, and understand and adhere to GAAP/FAR rules and regulations as related to KCI billing.
• All final applicants selected for this position are required to undergo drug screening as a condition of employment and a satisfactory background check.

Responsibilities

• Project accounting, including Microsoft Dynamics project setup, monthly billing and AR processes, contract and billing file setup and archiving, and assistance with financial monitoring and vendor invoice processing.
• Comply with ISO requirements.
• Assist with client monthly reporting.
• Interface with project managers, analysts, clients, and vendors.
• Provide support to the Operations Manager, Regional Practice Leader, and Project Managers.
• Other projects as assigned.
