Job Title: Analyst - Project

Classification: Full Time, Exempt

Location: Remote or Temecula, CA

Salary Range: $65,000 - $100,000

NBS has standard office hours of Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. PST, with the option to work a Compressed Work Week (9/80) schedule.

Summary:

NBS is currently seeking a Project Analyst in our District Financing Consulting Group. This team collaborates with local government agencies to develop revenue tools, including fiscal impact analysis, formation of assessment and community facilities districts, and debt issuance. The Analyst supports consulting services by providing analytical support, data management, and reporting to government clients, helping optimize revenue and ensure regulatory compliance.

Essential functions:
  1. Data Collection and Analysis: Gather, clean, and organize data; perform validation; review large datasets; evaluate financial, legal, and accounting data; conduct audits and implement corrective actions.
  2. Report Generation and Presentation: Compile reports and presentations; use visualization tools; draft summaries; ensure quality and consistency.
  3. Client Support: Maintain professional relationships; respond to inquiries; assist in meetings; collaborate to meet deliverables.
  4. Project Coordination and Management: Support project planning and execution; maintain documentation; communicate updates; identify and escalate risks.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to analyze statutes and regulations.
  • Effective client relationship management.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Ability to analyze complex data across platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to escalate issues appropriately.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Educational background in business, public administration, finance, or IT preferred.
