Anchor QEA is seeking a Staff Accountant in Asheville, NC to support accurate financial reporting, month-end close, and project accounting processes. You will prepare journal entries and reconciliations, analyze GL activity, and assist with reporting and billing of equipment/software usage.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Two or more years of general ledger or corporate accounting experience.
• Experience preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet close‑cycle deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare recurring and nonrecurring journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
• Complete assigned month‑end and quarter‑end close activities accurately and within established deadlines.
• Prepare and maintain balance sheet account reconciliations and promptly investigate reconciling items.
• Review general ledger activity for unusual transactions, classification issues, and potential U.S. GAAP concerns.
• Maintain processes for capturing, reconciling, and recording billable equipment and software usage.
• Support the accurate allocation and classification of direct and indirect costs in accordance with company policies, project requirements, and applicable FAR guidance.
• Assist with financial statement preparation, variance analysis, audit requests, and other accounting projects.
• Partner with project accounting and operational teams to research and resolve accounting or billing issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, documentation, and internal controls.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
