Job summary

Smart Care Equipment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to maintain financial records, post journal entries, and support month-end close. The role requires GAAP knowledge, strong Excel skills, and experience with multiple accounting systems.

You will assist with budgeting, forecasting, and audits while ensuring accurate documentation. The position emphasizes accuracy, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• CPA certification or progress toward CPA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules.
• Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records as needed.
• Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation.
• Ensure GAAP and company accounting policies compliance.
• Prepare sales tax, payroll, and other regulatory filings as required.
• Support the accounting team with special projects and process improvements.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial documentation.
