Job summary

Smart Care Equipment Solutions seeks a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to maintain accurate financial records, prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and assist with month-end close. The role supports financial reporting and regulatory filings in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance and 2–5 years of accounting experience, with a strong grasp of GAAP and proficiency in Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2-5 years accounting experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial controls.
• CPA certification or progress toward CPA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules.
• Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records as needed.
• Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Prepare sales tax, payroll, and other regulatory filings as required.
• Support the accounting team with special projects and process improvements.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial documentation.
