Anticimex Carolinas is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing Finance team. This role maintains the general ledger, supports financial reporting, and ensures timely month-end and year-end close.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• 1–3 years of corporate accounting experience including GL, journal entries, reconciliations and monthly close.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and accrual-based accounting principles.
• Intermediate Excel skills (PivotTables and VLOOKUPs).
• Ability to manage priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Strong written and verbal communication across departments.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end and year-end close activities.
• Prepare and post general ledger journal entries (cash transactions, accruals, prepaid expenses, intercompany, bad debt, etc.).
• Record and reconcile daily cash activity.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial statements and reporting.
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage fixed asset accounting (additions, disposals, depreciation).
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable for accurate expense coding.
• Work with Accounts Receivable to post and reconcile customer payments.
• Assist with ad hoc reporting, analysis, and special projects.
• Develop and document accounting procedures and best practices.
• Provide backup support for various accounting functions.
