Job summary

WSP USA seeks an Experienced Professional, Project Accounting in the United States to provide financial support to project managers and teams. You will develop project budgets, perform margin analysis, and create funding in Oracle for diverse projects, with emphasis on accuracy and compliance.

The role partners with Billing and Project Managers on pre-billing reviews, cost estimates, and invoicing, while maintaining robust project data and generating insightful financial reports to drive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or closely related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant post-education experience in accounting, project contracts and change management documents.
• Knowledge of project accounting principles and their application to project work.
• Analytical mindset with independent judgement for financial implications.

Responsibilities

• Manage collection, recording, and allocation of project costs and revenue; communicate financial performance to management.
• Oversee lifecycle project accounting from creating accounts to close-out and reconciliations.
• Perform detailed accounting for project contracts, billing events, and revenue for medium-sized projects.
• Collaborate with Project Manager to establish budgets and adjust as needed for contract modifications.
• Generate project financial reports and escalate items requiring review.
