Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an Experienced Professional, Project Accounting to provide accounting and financial support to project managers and teams in the United States. The role includes developing project budgets, margin analysis, and funding in Oracle for complex projects, plus cost transfers and robust reporting.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s in accounting or related discipline, 3–5 years of project accounting experience, and the ability to obtain a US government security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or closely-related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 3–5 years of relevant post-education experience in accounting, project contracts and change management documents.
• Working knowledge of project accounting principles, practices, and methods.
• Ability to coordinate with stakeholders around contract and project requirements.
• Proficiency with accounting software, spreadsheets, and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage collection, recording, and allocation of project costs and revenue for P/L accuracy.
• Lifecycle project accounting from Oracle setup to close and reconciliation of budgets.
• Prepare and review project invoices, estimates, and cost transfers.
• Develop project budgets, track changes, and provide variance analysis to management.
• Generate robust project accounting reports and actionable insights.
