Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking an Accountant II for its Orlando, FL operations. The role focuses on GAAP-compliant journal entries, fixed asset management, and month-end close within the Project Finance team.

You will partner with Finance to support audits and reporting across multiple projects. The ideal candidate has at least three years of accounting experience, solid GL knowledge, and proficiency in Excel and Dynamics 365.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of three years of relevant accounting experience.
• Solid understanding of general ledger accounting and project subledger activity.
• Hands-on experience with month-end close processes and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and record journal entries per GAAP, including fixed asset and depreciation entries.
• Reconcile fixed asset, construction in progress, inventory, and related accounts.
• Prepare schedules, roll-forwards, and reconcile project-level transactions to the GL.
• Research and resolve complex accounting discrepancies promptly.
• Support financial reporting, audits, and ad-hoc requests.
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce manual work.
