Job summary

HDR is seeking a Project Accounting Manager to lead accounting functions for multiple offices in a defined region. You will supervise accountants and project controllers, ensure internal controls, and coordinate budgets, invoicing, and financial reporting.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field with 5+ years of experience, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to handle confidential information in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a closely related field or combination of education and relevant experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience; an advanced degree may offset years of experience.
• MS Office including Word and Outlook.
• Excellent verbal and written communication including grammar, punctuation, proofreading, spelling and telephone skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information and work in a fast-paced environment with various managers.
• Active participant in employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting functions for multiple offices in a specified region.
• Establish internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and contractual obligations.
• Coordinate project accounting systems: general ledger, budgets, invoicing, payables and receivables.
• Audit contractual compliance, invoicing formats, and financial reporting quality.
• Review financial statements and coordinate annual departmental budgets.
• Advise management on financial performance of departments and projects.
• Supervise department accountants and project controllers related to accounting and contracts.
