Job summary

Swoon is a mission-driven, global advertising agency seeking a full-time Project Accountant (Manager I or II) to join its growing accounting and finance team. This is a headcount addition driven by growth and a chance to work on clients with philanthropic missions.

The ideal candidate will have project-based accounting experience, partner closely with project teams, and manage budgeting, reporting, billing, and revenue recognition.

Qualifications

• Project-based accounting background is required.
• Manager I: 4–5 years of experience; Manager II: 6+ years of experience.
• Financial partner to client-facing project/account cross-functional teams.
• Hands-on budgeting, financial reporting, project reporting, billing, analysis, revenue recognition.

Responsibilities

• Partner with project teams to manage finances for client accounts.
• Oversee budgeting, reporting, billing, and revenue recognition for multiple projects.
• Ensure accurate project financials and client billings in a fast-paced environment.

Experience:

• Project based accounting background; Manager I (4-5 years of experience), Manager II (6+ years of experience)
• Function as a financial partner to the client facing project, account, and cross-functional team members
• Experience working on multiple projects/clients/accounts at one time
• Hands on budgeting, financial reporting, project reporting, billing, analysis, financial management, revenue recognition
• Understanding of client services, billable hours, tracking etc.
• Strong attention to detail & comfortability working in a fast-paced environment
• Advertising/digital marketing project accounting background a big plus! Other applicable industries: architecture, manufacturing, construction, engineering, public accounting, professional services etc.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (required), QuickBooks experience (a plus)
