Job summary

CFS is seeking a Project Accounting Manager to lead project financials for large-scale infrastructure and construction endeavors across North America. You will partner with project management and operations to drive profitability, oversee budgeting, forecasting, billing, and cost control, and act as a subject matter expert within a collaborative environment.

In this hybrid role, you will mentor accounting teams, influence best practices, and work closely with ERP and finance to implement process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or closely related field.
• 5+ years project accounting experience in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of project accounting, budgeting, forecasting, WIP analysis and percent-of-completion revenue recognition.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and cross-functional interaction.

Responsibilities

• Support project teams with budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, revenue recognition, and overall project financial management.
• Prepare and analyze project reports, WIP schedules, cost-to-complete forecasts, and project variance reporting.
• Process project billings, owner payment applications, budget revisions, and cash receipts while maintaining accurate financial records.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, and ERP teams to enhance processes, implement system improvements, and establish project accounting best practices.
