Job summary

Egis is seeking a Project Accounting Manager to own critical project accounting processes, enhance financial visibility, and drive better business decisions. You will partner with controllers, project managers, and department leaders to improve budgeting, forecasting, WIP analysis, and revenue recognition while guiding the transition to Oracle and POC accounting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, including audits.
• Hands-on project accounting experience: WIP, revenue recognition, budgeting & forecasting.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, GL accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Ability to partner with project managers, department leaders, and cross-functional teams.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience building financial reports & workpapers.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills; able to manage competing priorities.
• Proactive mindset for improving processes and adopting new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Own project accounting processes: setup, controls, WIP analysis, revenue recognition, reporting.
• Review project performance with managers and leaders; identify variances and improve profitability visibility.
• Enhance budgeting, forecasting, and cost-to-complete projections for better decisions.
• Coach managers on financial best practices to increase consistency and accountability.
• Lead transition to Oracle and percentage-of-completion (POC) accounting.
• Support month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and revenue recognition.
• Coordinate audit processes with external auditors and ensure compliance.
• Prepare financial reports, KPIs, and project performance metrics for leadership.
