Job summary

Egis is seeking a Project Accounting Manager to own critical project financials, enhance visibility, and guide the finance organization through a period of change and growth. You'll partner with controllers, project managers, and department leaders to improve budgeting, forecasting, WIP analysis, revenue recognition, and reporting, while supporting a move to Oracle and POC accounting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, including audits.
• Hands-on project accounting experience with WIP, revenue recognition, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Ability to influence project managers and cross-functional teams.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience building financial reports and workpapers.

Responsibilities

• Own project accounting processes: setup, controls, WIP, revenue recognition, and project financial reporting.
• Partner with project managers and leaders to review performance, identify variances, and improve profitability visibility.
• Strengthen budgeting, forecasting, and cost-to-complete projections for better decision-making.
• Coach stakeholders on financial best practices and drive consistency across projects.
• Support month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and project revenue recognition.
• Coordinate audits and respond to auditor requests, ensuring compliance and timely reporting.
