Job summary

Gilbane Building Company, through its Next 150 Construction subsidiary, seeks an Accountant II to manage project accounting and forecasting for small to mid-sized jobs. The role involves regular office work with travel to project sites to meet with teams and subcontractors.

You will interface with management, clients, and subcontractors, upholding Gilbane’s Caring, People First culture while delivering on business outcomes and value-added solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3-8 years of accounting experience.
• Experience with project accounting and forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Manage contracts, amendments, insurance, bonds, SOV, files, and CO policies.
• Review requisitions and lien waivers.
• Set up project financial forecasts for internal and client reporting.
• Lead monthly forecast meetings and maintain ETCs for labor and expenses.
• Ensure timely AR and AP management.
• Manage project financial closeout process.
• Assist with audits and contract abstracts and WIP explanations.
