Job summary

Gilbane Building is seeking a Senior Accountant to support project accounting and forecasting for multiple mid-sized to large projects. The position is office-based with potential travel to project sites for meetings with teams and subcontractors.

You will join a collaborative accounting group, contribute to monthly closes, and help develop accurate forecasts while upholding Gilbane’s values of integrity, caring, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 6-10 years of experience in accounting or project controls, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with construction industry processes and project forecasting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage contracts, amendments, insurance, bonds, SOV, files, and policies.
• Review requisitions and lien waivers for accuracy and timeliness.
• Set up and format project forecasts to meet reporting needs.
• Lead monthly forecast meetings and maintain ETCs for labor and expenses.
• Support WIP processes and cost proposals for projects.
• Mentor and supervise interns and junior staff.
