Job summary

HDR in Phoenix, Arizona seeks a Project Accountant 2 to join the Building Engineering team. Based in our Phoenix office, the successful candidate will be a hands-on team player who supports multiple project managers and staff daily, ensuring accurate project accounting and financial health.

Responsibilities include monitoring expenditures, invoicing, collections, contract administration, and ensuring compliance with HDR policies and project controls.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience is required.
• 5+ years of experience in project accounting or related field.
• Familiar with Earned Value Management is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, including grammar and proofreading.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate with various managers in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor weekly and monthly project expenditures.
• Monitor and analyze project status and completion.
• Create and track invoices; manage collections.
• Administer contracts, subcontracts and change documents as needed.
• Ensure documentation and accounting records are accurate within HDR systems.
