Job summary

Collins Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Project Accountant to oversee all accounting functions and job administration for assigned projects. You will work with Project Managers to track progress, investigate variances, and ensure timely billings and collections.

The role involves project set-up, cost/schedule monitoring, and reviewing contract terms and overhead provisions. Relocation is available for suitable candidates.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
• Some experience in Project Accounting or Project Administration in architecture/engineering/construction industry preferred.
• Accounts receivable experience a plus.
• Experience working in Microsoft Office products a must; Deltek Vantagepoint strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project set-up, contract review and budget entry.
• Monitor actual vs. budgeted cost and schedule; suggest cost control improvements.
• Manage accounts receivable and perform regular collections calls.
• Prepare invoices on a monthly, interim and milestone basis.
• Assist with month-end reconciliations and project closeouts.
