Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Project Accountant to join a fast-growing team in California. The role focuses on job costing and PoC accounting, with responsibilities including setting up projects, updating estimates, and closing completed jobs in the ERP system.

Qualifications

• Up to two years of job costing and/or percentage of completion accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, or finance preferred.
• Experience with accounting software (MS Dynamics preferred or Sage 300 Construction & Real Estate).

Responsibilities

• Review booking documents and set up new projects, change orders, and service agreements accurately and on time in the ERP system.
• Process changes in estimates for active projects accurately in the ERP system.
• Close out projects in ERP system upon completion.
• Assist with preparation and review of WIP analysis after each payroll cycle.
• Review and validate monthly charges to active projects and resolve discrepancies.
• Enter time charged to jobs from weekly timesheets.
• Complete special department projects as directed.
• Adhere to all company policies and protocols.
• Assist in month end close; other special projects as needed.
