Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions seeks a Project Accountant to join its fast-growing team. If you have exposure to job costing or Percentage of Completion (PoC) accounting, enjoy a fast-paced environment, and are seeking growth, this could be the role for you.

You will review booking documents, set up new projects, manage change orders, process estimates in the ERP system, and close out projects. The role supports WIP analysis, verifies monthly charges, and assists in month-end close while adhering to

Qualifications

• Up to two years of job costing and/or percentage of completion accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, or finance preferred.
• Experience with MS Dynamics or Sage 300 Construction & Real Estate.
• Strong Excel skills including formulas, advanced functions, and pivot tables.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Review booking documents and set up new projects, change orders, and service agreements in the ERP on time.
• Process estimates updates for active projects accurately in the ERP.
• Close out projects in the ERP system upon completion.
• Assist with preparation and review of WIP analysis after payroll cycles.
• Review and validate monthly charges to active projects and resolve discrepancies.
• Enter time charged to jobs from weekly timesheets.
• Support month-end close and additional department projects as needed.
• Adhere to company policies and protocols.

THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL

Sciens Building Solutions seeks a Project Accountant to join its fun and rapidly growing team. If you have exposure to job costing or Percentage of Completion (PoC) accounting, enjoy working in a fast-paced setting and are looking for an opportunity that provides growth -- this could be the role for you!

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (and doing well!)

• Review booking documents and set up new projects, change orders, and service agreements accurately and on time in the ERP system.


• Process changes in estimates for active projects accurately and on time in the ERP system.


• Close out projects in ERP system upon completion.


• Assist with preparation and review of WIP analysis after each payroll cycle.


• Review and validate monthly charges to active projects and resolve discrepancies.


• Enter time charged to jobs from weekly timesheets.


• Complete special department projects as directed.


• Adhere to all company policies and protocols.


• Assist in month end close; other special projects as needed.

WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU
