Job summary

Vision Electric & Systems is a full-service electrical contractor based in O'Fallon, Missouri. We are seeking a Project Accountant to support project teams by managing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate job costing, and coordinating with subcontractors and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires strong communication, time-management, and system navigation skills to deliver timely invoicing and insightful job cost reporting to project managers and engineers.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent knowledge; BS/BA in Accounting preferred
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in GC or Subcontractor
• Proficient in Excel, Google Sheets, and MS Office

Responsibilities

• Receive, code, and route invoices for appropriate approval
• Enter approved invoices into the accounting system with accurate coding
• Review vendor records and statements; resolve billing or payment discrepancies
• Communicate with vendors regarding payment status and inquiries
• Assist with 1099 preparation and GAAP compliance
• Collect and maintain W-9 forms for vendors
• Monitor subcontractor records in the accounting system
• Ensure billings do not exceed contractual limits or change orders
