Job summary

Vision Electric & Systems is seeking a Project Accountant to manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and job cost systems for project teams in O’Fallon, MO. The role supports invoice status inquiries, provides job cost insights, and coordinates with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely invoicing.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of accounting experience, an associate degree or higher in accounting, and proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, DataServ, Textura, and ComputerEase.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent knowledge; BS/BA in Accounting preferred.
• Minimum 3 years accounting experience, preferably with GC or subcontractor.
• Proficient in Excel, Google Sheets, and GAAP knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Receive, code, and route invoices for approval.
• Enter approved invoices into the accounting system with accurate coding.
• Review vendor records and resolve billing or payment discrepancies.
• Communicate with vendors regarding payment status and inquiries.
• Prepare 1099 forms and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Collect and maintain W-9 forms for all vendors.
• Organize and manage accounts payable files (open and paid).
• Monitor subcontractor records in the accounting system.
• Verify billings against contractual limits and change orders.
• Request invoices from subcontractors and vendors when needed.
• Prepare and distribute customer invoices with AIA documentation.
