Job summary

The HFW Companies is seeking a Project Accountant to join our growing network of firms. You will support the Regional Finance Manager, collaborate with partner firms on projects, and manage AR/AP, invoicing cycles, and project financial analysis to ensure accurate data flow.

You'll generate reports, assist in audits, monitor cash flow, and help improve project margins while building strong relationships with member firms and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance with 2 years related experience.
• Extensive knowledge of project and cost accounting.
• Understanding of GAAP.
• Proficiency with professional services accounting software.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex business materials.
• Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and ERP software.
• Occasional travel to member firms or project sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Regional Finance Manager and collaborate with member firms on projects.
• Assist AR/AP functions, invoicing cycles, and project financial analysis.
• Process invoices and monitor cash flow; prepare periodic reports.
• Generate weekly/monthly reports detailing accounts payable status.
• Assist with audits and engage with internal/external teams as needed.
• Develop relationships with member firms' accounting teams and coordinate with project managers.
