Job summary

NV5 is seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant in Cary, North Carolina. You will partner with Project Managers to ensure projects are set up, billed, and closed efficiently, using Deltek Vision to manage contracts and revenue recognition.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret financial data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and learning new systems quickly.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities with high accuracy.
• Effective written and verbal communication across all levels of the organization.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-service mindset for project teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Project Managers to set up new projects in Deltek Vision per contract and revenue terms.
• Enter budgets and upload required documentation at project setup.
• Maintain project records through lifecycle, including change orders and task authorizations.
• Review reports to identify revenue errors and ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to monitor unbilled activity and labor adjustments.
• Support project closeout and finalize transactions for invoicing and billing.
