Job summary

gpac, a 30+ years recruitment company, is partnered with a well-established mechanical contractor seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant in St. Louis, MO.

You will perform job costing analyses, monitor budgets, and support monthly close and financial reporting to ensure project profitability. You will collaborate with project teams on invoicing, utilize MS Excel to analyze data, and leverage Viewpoint ERP (preferred) to improve project controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• Minimum of two years of accounting, job costing, and project controls experience.
• Experience in the construction industry (preferred).
• Detail-oriented with excellent multitasking abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, including advanced MS Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform job costing analysis to track project profitability.
• Monitor project budgets and provide regular financial reporting.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate project invoicing and billing.
• Assist in monthly closing procedures and financial statement preparation.
• Conduct analysis on financial data and support decision-making processes.
