Job summary

Ramos Consulting Services, now part of Colliers Engineering & Design, is seeking a Project Accountant to support CIP construction projects in the Airport Design and Construction department at our San Diego office.

The role emphasizes detailed cost analyses, invoicing, change orders, accruals, and close-out work with cross-functional teams. Strong Excel and PMWeb skills are required, with a focus on accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting.
• 2 years experience for Project Accountant I; 5 years for Project Accountant II.
• Proficient in Excel, PMWeb, Bluebeam Revu, and Adobesign.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, reconcile pay apps against contracts and policies.
• Manage progress invoices, SOV, change orders, and contingencies.
• Process change orders with project managers; monitor thresholds.
• Coordinate with Procurement for change order approvals and invoicing.
• Onboard contractors; write cost management procedures and present slides.
• Act as liaison between Authority and contractors for invoices and retainage.
• Manage contract requisitions, task authorizations, commitments, amendments.
• Prepare monthly project accruals, journal entries, reconciliation, reclassification.
• Support year-end closing and accounting audit with Accounting team.
