Job summary

CFS, privately owned specialized contractor, seeks a Project Accountant to join our growing team. You will work with leadership, Project Managers and various teams to support invoicing, billing, cost controls and reporting on project contracts.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in accounting, finance, or a related field, with 2+ years in AR/billing within project-driven environments, strong Excel skills and the ability to handle large datasets and job costing from contract to completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or related field.
• 2+ years of AR, billing or accounting experience in a project-driven industry.
• Advanced Excel and ability to work with large datasets.
• Job/project costing experience.

Responsibilities

• Invoicing, lien waivers, pay estimates, payroll analysis, transportation data and ad hoc reports per contract details.
• Review billing reports to ensure timely receivables.
• Analyze pay estimates throughout project cycles.
• Assist AP team on subcontractor and supplier payments per contract terms.
• Assist with cash management reporting.
• Serve as main point of contact for documents for subcontractors, suppliers, Project Managers and for compliance.

Approximate Salary of $70,000 - $90,000 + Bonus based on experience

Responsibilities Of The Project Accountant

• Responsible for invoicing, lien waivers, pay estimates, payroll analysis, transportation data and ad hoc reports per contract details
• Review and analyze billing reports to ensure timely receipt of receivables due
• Analyze pay estimates throughout project cycles
• Assist AP team on subcontractor and supplier payments per contract terms
• Assist with cash management reporting
• Function as the main point of contact for documents required for subcontractors, suppliers, corporate, Project Managers and for compliance

Ideal Experience For The Project Accountant Role

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related
• 2+ years of AR, billing and/or accounting experience in a project related industry is ideal
• Advanced Excel, experience working with large, complex data sets
• Job/project costing experience
• Strong technology, systems skills
