Job summary

CFS in Newton, MA is seeking a Project Accountant to join a growing construction management firm with 40+ years of experience. You will handle project billing, budgeting, and job costing across multiple projects, ensuring accurate month-end reporting and strong internal controls.

You will collaborate with Project Managers, subcontractors, and owners to coordinate billing approvals, support process improvements, and leverage Sage or Procore to streamline workflows.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in project or construction accounting.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to manage complex spreadsheets.
• Familiarity with project billing and job costing; AIA billing a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Experience with Sage, Procore, or similar systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage project billing, invoicing, and financial reconciliations across multiple construction projects.
• Maintain project budgets, job costing, and monthly financial projections.
• Coordinate billing approvals and documentation with Project Managers, subcontractors, and owners.
• Review invoices, track project expenses, and support month-end reporting.
