Job Description

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Accountant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and has a passion for numbers and construction. This role will provide in‑depth exposure to project accounting within the construction industry, offering a unique blend of financial management and project involvement.

Responsibilities

1. Managing project‑related accounts in the preparation, analysis, and maintenance of financial reports.
2. Overseeing cost accounting, including tracking, analyzing, and controlling project costs.
3. Assisting in the development and implementation of project budgets and financial plans.
4. Performing project forecasting, identifying potential variances, and proposing corrective actions.
5. Collaborating with project managers to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision support.
6. Ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures, including auditing and internal controls.
7. Participating in project reviews to analyze cost variances and profitability.
8. Preparing and presenting financial data to management and stakeholders.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in project accounting or cost accounting.
3. Strong understanding of construction accounting principles and project management methodologies.
4. Exceptional numerical proficiency and attention to detail.
5. Advanced skills in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
6. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
9. Proactive, self‑motivated, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
10. Professional accounting designation (CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is an asset.
