Job summary

Gables Search Group in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Project Accountant to join an on-site team with a growing construction leader. You will manage project finances from setup to monthly billing using Sage 300, partnering with PMs to track budgets and identify savings.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 3–5 years of accounting experience. Strong Excel skills, problem solving, and clear communication are essential. Local candidates only, with a solid benefits package.

What You’ll Do

• Manage project finances from setup to monthly billing using Sage 300.
• Partner with project managers to track budgets, analyze risks, and spot savings.
• Handle vendor compliance, accounts payable, and sales/use tax.

What You Bring

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a MUST
• 3-5 years of accounting experience
• Knack for solving problems under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Highly self-motivated
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Advanced Excel skills
