Job summary

Illinois Association of Mutual Insurance Companies is seeking a Construction Project Accountant in the Chicago area to work directly with our Treasurer and PM team. The role focuses on project accounting for commercial/public construction using Sage Intacct, with a base salary of $80,000–$95,000 and an annual бонус, on-site only.

The position requires 5+ years' project accounting experience, public works exposure, and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

Construction Project Accountant

Location: Chicago, IL (Western Suburbs)

Pay Rate: $80,000–$95,000 base, plus annual bonus

Overview

Join a 100% employee-owned Chicago-area general contractor with nearly two centuries of history building schools, hospitals, housing, and stadiums. With three $70M+ public jobs and a new housing authority contract ramping up, we need a Project Accountant to work directly with our Treasurer and PM team using Sage Intacct!

Compensation & Perks

Requirements

• 5+ years project accounting (commercial/public construction, not residential)
• Certified payroll, AIA billing, lien waivers
• Public works experience preferred (MWRD, CPS, CDB, CDOT, IDOT)
• Strong Excel; GC or sub background (GC preferred)
• Sage Intacct ERP highly preferred
