Job summary

CMC is seeking a seasoned project/account manager to oversee customer accounts and industrial projects from award to delivery. You will coordinate with operations, engineering, and sales to ensure on-time fabrication, shipment, and closeout while nurturing strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in project management, account management, customer service, or commercial operations within a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Demonstrated success managing customer relationships and projects from order receipt through final delivery.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, or similar platforms.
  • Strong commercial mindset with an understanding of pricing, forecasting, customer demand, and margin considerations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts and utility infrastructure projects.
  • Build trusted customer relationships through proactive communication and issue resolution.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of customer orders from project award through fabrication, shipment, and closeout.
  • Coordinate with operations, engineering, quality, logistics, and sales teams to ensure successful execution.
  • Monitor schedules, manufacturing capacity, and delivery commitments while balancing customer requirements and business objectives.
  • Apply commercial awareness to support pricing discussions, forecasting, order prioritization, and customer growth opportunities.
  • Identify project risks early and drive resolution before impacting customers or production schedules.
  • Provide customers with visibility on production status, lead times, shipments, and key milestones.
  • Develop a strong understanding of market conditions, customer buying behaviors, and competitive dynamics.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer experience and operational performance.

What You'll Need
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, account management, customer service, or commercial operations within a manufacturing or fabrication environment

  • Exposure to fabrication scheduling, manufacturing planning, logistics coordination, or supply chain operations preferred
  • Experience with anchor bolts, anchor cages, threaded products, structural steel foundation systems, utility hardware, or related products preferred
Your Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following: Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field, preferred
