Job summary

Commercial Metals is seeking a candidate to purchase scrap metal materials based on current market conditions and company pricing standards. You will support growth across assigned accounts and maintain detailed records of sourcing and sales activities.

The role requires 1–3 years of business or operations experience and strong teamwork, leadership, and communication skills. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, and willingness to relocate at program end is expected.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years business or operations experience (including intern experience).
• Entry-level supervision, sales, operations, or customer service experience is a plus.
• Willingness to relocate at program end if opportunity is at a different location.
• Leadership skills in professional, educational, and/or social contexts.

Responsibilities

• Purchases scrap metal materials in accordance with current market conditions based on pricing standards/models established by Company policy.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
• Develops growth of business activities and profit with assigned accounts.
• Maintains accurate records of all buying/sourcing and prospecting activities including closed sales and follow-up.

What You'll Need

• Willingness to relocate at the end of the program if the next opportunity is at a different location
• Leadership skills in professional, educational, and/or social experiences
• Buying/selling skill and product knowledge
• Ability and willingness to work in all areas of the business
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
• Sense of teamwork as well as independent initiative required
• Must be able to travel within assigned region and other areas as needed
• Must have effective listening and verbal skills to identify important information and to engage with internal and external customers

Your Education

• Bachelors degree preferred
