Job summary

Commercial Metals seeks a seasoned professional to manage key customer accounts and utility infrastructure projects, overseeing the full order lifecycle from award through fabrication, shipment, and closeout. You will collaborate with operations, engineering, quality, logistics, and sales to ensure successful execution.

The role requires 5+ years in project/account management within manufacturing and strong communication, pricing, forecasting, and margin management skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in project management, account management, customer service, or commercial operations in manufacturing or fabrication.
• Proven success managing customer relationships from order receipt through final delivery.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for assigned customer accounts and projects.
• Build trusted relationships through proactive communication and issue resolution.
• Manage full lifecycle of customer orders from award through fabrication, shipment, and closeout.
• Coordinate with operations, engineering, quality, logistics, and sales to ensure successful execution.
• Monitor production schedules, capacity, and delivery commitments; balance customer needs with business goals.
• Contribute to pricing discussions, forecasting, order prioritization, and growth opportunities.
• Identify project risks early and drive resolution to protect schedules.
• Provide customers with visibility on production status, lead times, and milestones.
• Develop understanding of market conditions and competitive dynamics.
• Support continuous improvement to enhance customer experience and operational performance.

What You'll Do

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer experience and operational performance

What You'll Need

• 5+ years of experience in project management, account management, customer service, or commercial operations within a manufacturing or fabrication environment
• Demonstrated success managing customer relationships and projects from order receipt through final delivery
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, or similar platforms
• Strong commercial mindset with an understanding of pricing, forecasting, customer demand, and margin considerations
• Exposure to fabrication scheduling, manufacturing planning, logistics coordination, or supply chain operations preferred
• Experience with anchor bolts, anchor cages, threaded products, structural steel foundation systems, utility hardware, or related products preferred

Your Education

• Bachelor's Degree in one of the following: Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field, preferred
