Job summary

The Mercy Health Jewish Hospital is seeking a Progressive Care (Step down) Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will assess patient status, develop care plans, and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective outcomes.

Responsibilities include administering medications, leading care coordination across departments, and advocating for patient safety while contributing to quality improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred but not required.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS Basic Life Support or ACLS preferred (must obtain ACLS within 6 months).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes assessment data, creates a plan of care, implements treatment, and evaluates treatment effectiveness
• Serves as point of contact for patients' care coordination throughout hospital departments
• Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department
• Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and the organization's policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
