Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse I for the Full Time Nights shift on the 3 West Step Down Medical Progressive Care Unit.

You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care using the nursing process for patients with diverse respiratory-focused diagnoses and higher acuity in a lower nurse-to-patient ratio. Required education includes a state-approved nursing diploma/degree with licensure eligibility.

Qualifications

• Completion of basic professional nursing curriculum and approved diploma/degree.
• Current nursing licensure or eligibility as required by state boards.
• 0–6 months related RN experience preferred for entry level.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Assesses and plans care considering age, culture and psychosocial factors.
• Documents steps of the nursing process accurately.
• Uses appropriate medical terminology in clinical notes.
• Addresses problems and tracks progress toward goals.
• Supports discharge planning with referrals and patient education.
• Collaborates with other disciplines and participates in education activities.
