Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Progressive Care Unit registered nurse at St. Charles Hospital to deliver high-quality nursing care in a step-down setting. The role emphasizes collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, careful patient assessment, and development of individualized care plans.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of RN experience, state RN licensure, and may hold or pursue BLS/ACLS. The position offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities within Mercy Health.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience is required.
• 6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting is preferred.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) is required.
• BLS or ACLS is preferred at hire; ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, create a plan of care, implement treatment and evaluate effectiveness.
• Serve as point of contact for patients' care coordination across hospital departments.
• Act as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement.
• Administer medications in a safe manner per State of Practice and organizational policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
