Job summary

Firelands Health is seeking an experienced RN for the Progressive (Step-Down) unit on a full-time, nights shift (7p-7a) in Sandusky, OH. You will deliver patient-centered care, follow physician orders, monitor patient status, and document in medical records while collaborating with the care team. Requires Ohio RN license and CPR; ACLS and EKG within 6 months.

A PCCN is preferred within 2 years. We offer a $5,000 retention bonus, tuition assistance, and robust benefits to support work-life

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Ohio RN license and CPR before patient care.
• ACLS and Basic EKG required or obtained within 6 months.
• PCCN certification preferred within 2 years.
• Excellent organizational, customer service, and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Implements the nursing process per physician orders and Firelands standards.
• Performs assessments, documents care plans and reports to physicians.
• Instructs patients and family on treatments and discharge plans.
• Responds to emergencies; maintains meds and supplies; ensures cleanliness.
• Demonstrates service excellence and acts as ambassador for Firelands.
