Job summary

AtlantiCare seeks a Patient Care Technician for the Progressive Care Unit. This part-time daytime role supports both direct and indirect patient care under licensed supervision, including specimen collection and data reporting to the clinical team.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, BLS certification within 30 days, and 8 weeks of patient care experience or enrollment in a nursing/PA program. English proficiency is required, with bilingual preferred.

Qualifications

• High School degree required.
• American Heart Association BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
• CPI training within 1 year of hire or transfer, or by 10/31/25 for existing employees.
• 8 weeks of Patient Care education or direct patient care experience or enrollment in nursing/PA program.
• English language required; bilingual preferred.
• Medical terminology knowledge preferred.
• Interpersonal skills required to communicate with team members.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal care and participate in the plan of care.
• Collect test specimens and assist with limited laboratory services.
• Communicate observations and data to the Clinical Associate.
• Maintain confidentiality and respect in all patient interactions.
