Job summary

Covenant HealthCare in Michigan is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide leadership, direction and coordination of care for the inpatient team. The RN will assess patients, develop a goal-directed plan, educate patients and families, administer medications, and ensure safety and quality across inpatient units.

You will collaborate with care teams, support discharge planning and participate in unit meetings, while maintaining compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• Graduation from NLN accredited school of nursing.
• Registered Nurse with current licensure in the State of Michigan.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS required within 1 year of hire or transfer.
• Attends unit conferences, in-service programs and continuing education activities to meet the organization’s expectations.
• Minimum of one year of acute care nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports patient flow through unit policies and staffing coordination.
• Communicates with patients and families in a professional, therapeutic manner.
• Assesses patients and synthesizes data to plan care.
• Develops a goal-directed plan of care and coordinates its implementation.
• Delegates and supervises care in line with standards and policies.
• Collaborates with health care teams to facilitate outcomes and discharge planning.
• Documents care observations in the electronic record in a timely manner.
• Participates in quality management and unit activities.
