Job summary

Covenant HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse to lead and coordinate care across the inpatient team in Michigan. You will assess and plan patient care, educate patients and families, and support safe discharge planning while maintaining high clinical standards.

The role requires competent nursing skills, clear communication, and a focus on patient safety in a fast-paced hospital environment. Eligible candidates hold Michigan RN licensure and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduation from NLN accredited school of nursing.
• Registered Nurse with current licensure in the State of Michigan.
• BLS certification required.
• Attends unit conferences, in-service programs and continuing education activities to meet the organization’s expectations.
• Minimum of one year of acute care nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports the organization’s patient flow efforts through compliance to unit and Patient Services policies.
• Remains flexible in cooperation with 24-hour staffing patterns and scheduling needs for provision of care in all inpatient units.
• Communicates with patients and families in a professional, therapeutic, and courteous manner.
• Has clinical and social contact with patients, including all age groups, and provides care according to Covenant HealthCare guidelines.
• Performs assessment and synthesizes data to formulate a goal-directed plan of care.
• Delegates, supervises and implements care in a knowledgeable, skillful and continuous manner.
• Collaborates with health care disciplines to facilitate patient outcomes and discharge planning.
• Identifies patient learning needs and ensures understanding of discharge instructions.
