Job summary

Covenant HealthCare in Michigan seeks a Registered Nurse to provide leadership and clinical care across the patient care team. You will assess, educate, and coordinate plans of care, ensuring safety and effective discharge planning while upholding our standards of Extraordinary Care for Every Generation.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, document accurately in the EMR, and participate in continuous quality and safety initiatives in a dynamic hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from NLN accredited school of nursing.
• Registered Nurse with current licensure in the State of Michigan.
• BLS certification required.
• Attends unit conferences, in-service programs and continuing education activities to meet the organization’s expectations.
• Minimum of one year of acute care nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports patient flow through adherence to unit and Patient Services policies.
• Communicates with patients and families in a professional, therapeutic, and courteous manner.
• Assesses patients and plans care based on nursing diagnoses and identified concerns.
• Documents care observations accurately in the electronic record.
• Collaborates with health care disciplines to facilitate outcomes and plan for discharge.
• Administers medications as outlined by guidelines and policies.
• Participates in quality management and maintains knowledge of practice standards.
• Participates in unit meetings and activities to support organizational goals.
