Job summary

AIA Seattle is seeking a Programs Manager to lead the organization’s educational programs, awards events, and committee-driven programming, elevating design across the community.

You will manage budgets, collaborate with volunteers and staff, and shape learning opportunities to advance equity, resilience, and thriving design communities while supporting a flexible blend of in-person and remote work. This is a full-time role serving a member-led, 501(c)(6) organization with a national reputation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent life experience.
• Experience in programs development, project management, event planning, volunteer engagement, membership, and/or related.
• Ability to motivate volunteers and collaborate with committees.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, manage and produce education and awards programs to equip members to shape the built environment.
• Engage members, volunteers, and partners to inform program development and expand organizational impact.
• Oversee program budgets to support financial sustainability and organizational priorities.
• Collaborate with staff and supervise others to support program success.
• Attend events and contribute to day-to-day and long-term strategy planning.
