Job summary

Ama-Support-Services in Pittsburgh is seeking an Assistant Program Manager to help oversee multiple homes and sites, ensuring compliance with regulations and delivering high-quality services. The role reports to the Program Manager and emphasizes a culture of excellence, compassion and integrity, with responsibilities across scheduling, safety, onboarding, and stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field plus some management experience working with people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
• Associates Degree, 2 years’ management experience, and 2 years’ experience in a residential support setting
• High School Diploma or equivalent plus 4 years’ management experience with people in a residential support setting

Responsibilities

• Represent AMA Support Services' Mission, Vision and Values through actions and presentation
• Create a culture of high professional and ethical standards, where dignity and compassion are the norm
• Oversee all aspects of programs to ensure health, safety, welfare and development of those we support
• Ensure the highest quality of services as outlined in the ISP
• Supervise and direct day-to-day activities of program employees
• Develop and deliver training programs to increase knowledge and skills
• Onboard and train new employees thoroughly
• Attend support meetings and contribute to the team process
• Schedule, coordinate and oversee medical appointments and follow-ups
• Develop CPS schedules with the CPS Coordinator
• Promote safety and respond to incidents in line with regulations
• Support time and attendance functions and align schedules with timecards
• Create a structured, nurturing home environment for individuals
• Encourage personal growth and independence through innovative strategies
• Ensure compliance with all regulations and maintain complete service records
• Develop staff schedules and manage changes
• Ensure adequate coverage for supervision needs
• Ensure homes are stocked with food and household items
• Oversee Direct Support Professionals to ensure care protocols are followed
• Foster positive relationships with family, oversight entities, and communities
