Job summary

Carnegie Mellon University is seeking a Project Coordinator to provide administrative, logistical, and project management support for The Center in Pittsburgh. You will coordinate events, manage communications, and supervise student staff, serving as a primary point of contact with internal and external partners.

The role requires discretion, adaptability, and a commitment to advancing campus programs. A fixed-term position through mid-January 2027 with competitive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or HS Diploma/GED with relevant experience.
  • 3–5 years of project management and/or program coordination experience.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and adapt to evolving needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a portfolio of student-focused and university-wide programs and events.
  • Serve as primary liaison between student organizations, departments, and external partners.
  • Manage budgets, track expenses, process invoices, contracts, and resource utilization.
  • Create and implement communication plans for social media, newsletters, and websites; supervise student interns.
  • Prepare reports detailing program outcomes and recommendations to leadership.
