Job summary

United Way of Southwest Minnesota is seeking a Programs Coordinator to oversee internal programs and the Community Impact Grants program. This in-office, full-time role offers high-level community impact and direct program ownership.

You will manage day-to-day operations of core programs such as Stuff the Bus, the Imagination Library, Wild About Kindergarten, and the Student Emergency Fund; lead grant processes, support events, and promote programs through social media and collateral.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with ability to manage multiple programs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small, collaborative team.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, and database management.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to lift/move program materials occasionally.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of core internal programs and the Community Impact Grants program.
  • Track applications, organize review panels, process payments, and prepare board summaries.
  • Support fundraising and community events.
  • Promote programs through social media and marketing collateral.
  • Foster relationships with donors, volunteers, and community partners.
  • Coordinate day-to-day office administration and internal communications.
