Qualifications

• Knowledge of Jewish practice, ritual, culture, and tradition.
• Creative and strategic vision for developing adult Jewish learning opportunities.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and allocate resources.
• Technologically savvy with new tools and platforms to enhance engagement.
• Familiarity with the Kansas City Jewish community preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and execute engaging programs and events that strengthen Jewish identity and culture.
• Cultivate relationships with community members through outreach, hospitality, and follow-up.
• Build and maintain partnerships with local synagogues, agencies, and community organizations.
• Support Israel engagement by collaborating with the Israeli Emissary to develop educational programming.
• Partner with marketing to craft communications and outreach strategies.
• Gather participant feedback and evaluate program outcomes to improve offerings.
• Manage program budgets, timelines, and logistics for cost-effective events.
• Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers and program committees.
• Collaborate with The J and Jewish Federation on cross-departmental initiatives.
• Maintain records of participation and outcomes for reporting and planning.
