Job summary

H 2 O is looking for a Programmer, automation and controls to join our Ramsey MN team. This permanent full-time role involves programming PLCs and HMIs, analyzing user needs, and designing automated systems for client sites.

You will contribute to testing, deployment, and creating user guides, with a focus on reliable hardware and software upgrades, strong documentation, and clear communication in English.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in PLC programming software.
• Ability to write clear technical documents.
• Skill in designing user-friendly graphic interfaces.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve problems.
• Thorough understanding of hardware and software upgrade methods for automated systems.
• Communication skills.
• Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing.
• Competence in planning and executing comprehensive system tests.

Responsibilities

• Program PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and user graphic interfaces (HMI).
• Participate in analyzing user needs and developing programming plans.
• Design automated systems through technical drawings and schematics.
• Conduct testing and market deployment of programmed installations at our clients' sites.
• Assist our clients by creating user guides, technical manuals, and other tools to facilitate the understanding of automated systems.
• Perform upgrades and troubleshoot automated systems as needed.
