This position is responsible for the design, creation, management, and deployment of scalable data architectures focused on data pipelines, ETL processes, and database systems. Maintain data quality metrics, and provide information and expertise needed for the ongoing management of data repository and business intelligence systems. Focus on business intelligence processes, data integration strategy, and data integrity. Ensure organizational data is standardized, compliant, and accessible across the enterprise while strictly adhering to data governance and security frameworks.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
3 years Information Systems Experience
Solid understanding of data systems, including data relationships and data modeling
Excellent written/verbal communications and interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team oriented involvement
Experience troubleshooting and supporting data reporting systems
Experience with Business Intelligence projects and applications
Equivalent combination of education and experience, that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
Demonstrated knowledge of SQL, Python, Java, and/or Web FOCUS or ability to write queries and read stored procedures
Experience with ETL software or modern data integration and management tools

This position is designated as an on-site role and is not eligible for an alternative worksite arrangement at the time of hire. Following successful completion of the initial probationary period and demonstration of satisfactory performance, employees in this position may be considered for a hybrid work arrangement, subject to departmental needs and supervisory approval. Under the University of Nebraska Information Technology Services (NU ITS) hybrid work guidelines, eligible employees may work remotely up to two days per week and are required to work on-site a minimum of three days per week at one of the University of Nebraska campuses in Lincoln, Omaha or Kearney, NE.
