Job summary

University of Nebraska seeks a data architecture-focused professional to design, create, manage, and deploy scalable data pipelines, ETL processes, and database systems. Qualifications

  • 3 years Information Systems Experience.

  • Excellent written/verbal communications and interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team oriented involvement.
  • Experience troubleshooting and supporting data reporting systems.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence projects and applications.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience, that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.

Job description

This position is responsible for the design, creation, management, and deployment of scalable data architectures focused on data pipelines, ETL processes, and database systems. Maintain data quality metrics, and provide information and expertise needed for the ongoing management of data repository and business intelligence systems. Focus on business intelligence processes, data integration strategy, and data integrity. Ensure organizational data is standardized, compliant, and accessible across the enterprise while strictly adhering to data governance and security frameworks.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

3 years Information Systems Experience

Experience troubleshooting and supporting data reporting systems

Experience with Business Intelligence projects and applications

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated knowledge of SQL, Python, Java, and/or Web FOCUS or ability to write queries and read stored procedures

Experience with ETL software or modern data integration and management tools

Under the University of Nebraska Information Technology Services (NU ITS) hybrid work guidelines, eligible employees may work remotely up to two days per week and are required to work on-site a minimum of three days per week at one of the University of Nebraska campuses in Lincoln, Omaha or Kearney, NE.
